The most widely distributed true owl in North America — the great horned owl.

The great horned owl is the heaviest owl in North America and a species that I admire a lot. These owls are found in practically all habitats and have a huge prey variety, making them amazingly adaptive. Since they are so common here in North America, I’ve been fortunate enough to frequently come across these fierce predators.
