Frequently asked questions.

What makes owls so special?

Owls have existed in myth & culture for tens of thousands of years. Besides Antarctica, owls are present on every continent and seem to enchant those who co-exist with them. Whether it's because of their ability to turn their head 270 degrees, their large forward-facing eyes, or just the mysteriousness surrounding them, people are drawn in, myself included.

What are the differences in the print types?

As of right now, I have five printing options available when ordering: paper, framed paper, canvas, aluminum, and acrylic. I will do my best to explain the differences below.

Paper Prints - Photos will be printed on a versatile classic paper with the perfect blend of color, contrast, and detail. The paper is highly durable and has a silk surface that limits glare and reflections. When ordering these prints, you must find framing yourself. Paper prints are the cheapest option.

Canvas Prints - Those familiar with canvas prints/paintings know how well they can pop in the right environment. These prints are applied on a 3/4” stretcher frame. They come on a semi-glossy, luminous, lively surface that limits glare and reflections. Canvas prints are the second cheapest option.

Aluminum Prints - If you are looking for a modern look, this is an excellent option. The photo is directly printed on an aluminum dibond that pops, even in areas with less light. This is my go-to recommendation for the price and atmosphere it brings. Glare and reflections are not an issue. Price-wise, aluminum prints are the middle of the pack.

Acrylic Prints - Acrylic prints are the go-to high-end gallery prints. The photo is placed under 1/16” of acrylic glass, which adds outstanding depth to the photo that no other print can. With a matte/silk finish, glare and reflections are no issue. These prints excel in areas with ambient amounts of light. Acrylic prints are the second to most expensive option.

Framed Paper Prints - Those who love classic paper prints in matted frames understand how hard it is to find quality frames. This choice includes the traditional paper print listed above and a high-quality mat, frame, and glass. The mat is a 2” white strip along the outside of the print, guaranteeing it to pop. The wood frame is a black, 1.1” Vienna-style frame made from oak. Lastly, the glass is of museum-grade quality, preventing glare or reflections. Framed paper prints are the most expensive option.
